| Abstract | This paper examines the complex relationship between education and the Gospel, highlighting the plurality of meanings of both terms and the challenges of articulating them in contemporary contexts. It contrasts the traditional paradigm of identity and belonging with the emerging need for an education rooted in openness to the other. Drawing on Levinas and biblical insights, it proposes a new paradigm of “I-for-the-other,” where human formation is understood not as power or self-assertion, but as responsibility, gratuity, and encounter with the face of the other. |
