Abstract The growing number of displaced individuals in Europe has fueled divisive rhetoric that links migrants with terrorism, reinforcing an “us versus them” dichotomy and undermining empathy and human rights. In response, artists have turned to Greek tragedy as a tool against xenophobia. A performance by Syrian refugee women inspired by Trojan Women exemplifies how ancient drama can foster critical reflection, challenge prejudice, and promote education for peace.
